The Department of Energy (DOE) will lead in the nationwide celebration of the 2022 National Energy Consciousness Month (NECM) this December with the Theme: "DOE @50: Spearheading a Sustainable Energy Future." During the said month-long celebration, the DOE, its attached agencies and energy industry stakeholders will be conducting various activities, such as blood letting, IECs/webinars, energy quiz bowl, gift giving, poster making, posting/hanging of Steamers and many more. In line with the celebration, as a valued partner in the energy industry, ZAMSURECO-I actively participates in commemorating the 2022 NECM by hanging Streamer and posting on social media and website.
USE DATABASE The National Electrification Administration is conducting the Unified Sitio Electrification (USE) Database Workshop in Region IX, hosted by RENECA, on October 19-20, 2022 at ZAMSURECO-I Heroe's Hall, Pagadian City. The workshop is attended by Region IX member electric cooperatives namely; ZANECO, ZAMCELCO, ZAMSURECO-I, and ZAMSURECO-II. RENECA President, GM/CEO Jose Raul A. Saniel in his welcome message acknowledges the presence of NEA headed by Database Management and Program Control Division Manager Ms. Leilani L. Rico and all participants. ZAMSURECO-I personnel rendered a welcome dance presentation to energize the participants.
ZAMSURECO-I has imbibed strategic initiatives in delivering quality services and customer experience as it launched its 6th coop-owned Bayad and Action Center since the pandemic. "Today, 18th October 2022 ZAMSURECO-I has realized its vision of reaching out and bringing its services closer to the people as it opens its Tukuran Bayad and Action Center, Under the leadership of General Manager and CEO JOSE RAUL A. SANIEL, ZAMSURECO-I is committed to implementing and establishing development programs that answer the needs of its valued member-consumer owners. The project is funded by the efficiency gains availed by ZAMSURECO-I specifically on the Collection Efficiency Incentive by sustaining a high collection efficiency performance, from its power suppliers and partners. With this, the cooperative is extending gratitude and recognizing all the combined efforts and contributions among its officers, employees, and stakeholders who are directly involved in the realization of a commitment that significantly creates an impact on the community. ZAMSURECO-I’s present innovative platform and connectivity, provide its MCOs fast access to services within the franchise area including online bill payment, processing electric service applications and energization, and action to electricity-related customer complaints, among others. To provide more convenience and decent space for the paying customers, on the same day, at 3:00 pm, a blessing ceremony is successfully conducted for the newly renovated ZAMSURECO-I Tellering Office at the Central Office Building, Pagadian City. Gracing the event are Rev. Fr. Oliver Janohan, GM/CEO Jose Raul A. Saniel, Board of Directors, MCO Officers of District V and IX, Mr. Rico Salvacion and Legaspi Cabatcha, respectively, NEA team headed by Database Management and Program Control Division Manager Ms. Leilani Rico, ZAMSURECO-I personnel and media partners. Up next, we are extremely excited to commission another capacity project – the 10 MVA Substation in Tikwas, Dumalinao this October 2022. The Zamboanga del Sur I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ZAMSURECO-I) will hold its 27th Annual Regular Representative Assembly (ARRA) on 20 August 2022, Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM at Mega Gymnasium, Provincial Government Center, Dao, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.
Extending a helping hand, ZAMSURECO-I rallies behind its sister cooperative ZAMSURECO-II as GM/CEO Jose Raul A. Saniel launched the TASKFORCE KAPATID initiative to help ZAMSURECO-II in its conduct of a massive replacement of stuck up/defective KWH Meters in the ZAMSURECO-II's franchise area coverage from June 16-June 19, 2020. The TASK FORCE KAPATID is aimed at reducing system loss and ensuring the accuracy of the kWh meters installed and the integrity of consumers' connections. High system loss is one of the major problems that ZAMSURECO-II is facing right now, which resulted in poor services and financial losses; thus, this Cooperative is directing its efforts and attention to arrest this problem. In support of the program, GM/CEO Saniel deployed ZAMSURECO-I employees last June 15 to extend an additional workforce during the operation. An orientation was conducted on June 15 upon the arrival of ZAMSURECO-I employees together with ZAMSURECO-II personnel held at ZAMSURECO-II Multipurpose Hall Main Office, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay at 2 p.m. There are 12 teams created, and the operation targets an overwhelming 12, 500 KWH Meters to be replaced. ZAMSURECO-I ICT personnel joined the activity for documentation purposes. ZAMSURECO-I's Mobile Warehouse was used to ensure easy access and availability of materials and supplies on-site. With this initiative, GM Saniel assures member-consumer-owners of ZAMSURECO-II that he is doing his best to help the Cooperative get back on its feet and give back also to the consumers the service that they deserve. Under his leadership, ZAMSURECO-I continues to extend every help it can give amidst the COVID-19 crisis because WE value SERVICE.
The One EC Network Foundation Inc. has donated P100,000 to each of the 121 Electric Cooperatives in the Philippines for the implementation of its Pantawid Liwanag Program and other corporate social responsibilities of the ECs. We continue to work hand in hand as we go through with the COVID-19 pandemic. We work with a single aim, in the service of our Member-Consumer-Owners and Stakeholders.
ZAMSURECO-I continues to deliver for its Member-Consumer-Owners during these trying times. With the Pantawid Liwanag Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Cooperative, a total of 58, 326 marginalized lifeline customers enjoyed free electricity for April 2020. The Pantawid Liwanag Program of ZAMSURECO-I is a corporate social responsibilty aimed to provide lifeline consumers (25kwh consumption and below) of the electric cooperative free electricity service for the month of April 2020 and more than 57, 000 lifeline consumers benefited of the CSR activity. Included also in the said program are Qualified Senior Citizens whose consumption is 100kwh or less.
